Forsight is a visually striking original mixed media artwork that emerged through my deeply intuitive process. I began by layering paint and gesso, sanding between each coat until the surface became smooth. As the image developed, I couldn’t shake their resemblance to retinal imaging—the surreal, abstract view inside my own eye shown by my optometrist. They began to speak to me on a deeply personal level.
That vision guided the next phase: layers of pen and soft-colored pencil, inscribed with stream-of-consciousness journaling. More sanding followed, revealing hidden textures and unexpected colors. I was continually amazed by what emerged.

Construction & Display: This piece is created on a wood panel with intentionally visible sides to highlight the medium's character. On the back, small wooden blocks are secured to lift the artwork slightly from the wall, creating a floating effect with a soft shadow. The piece comes ready to hang with a wire and sawtooth hanger installed. **The depth includes the blocks and the board.
